What Google and AI assistants can find out about your business
People ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity for a recommendation the way they used to ask a friend. The answer names a few businesses, not ten links. I check whether yours is one of them, why it is or is not, and what to change on your website and your Google Business Profile.
The first check is free, no card needed
Who this is for
Local and small businesses that depend on being found: trades, studios, clinics, shops, professional firms, venues. Especially if any of these sound familiar:
- The website looks fine, but enquiries have dried up.
- A competitor keeps coming up when customers ask an AI assistant, and you do not.
- Your Google Business Profile was set up years ago and not touched since.
- You have paid for SEO before and could not tell what it achieved.
What the audit looks at
AI answers. Visibility Pilot writes the questions a real customer would ask, without naming your business, and puts them to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity with live web search. It reads every answer and records who was named, in what order, and which websites were cited.
Your website. A page-by-page SEO audit: what search engines can crawl, how the pages are structured, headings, links, redirects, speed, and the structured data that tells search engines and AI tools what your business is.
Your Google Business Profile. How complete it is, whether the categories and services match what you actually do, and whether it agrees with your website.
It also works out what your website is built on, the theme and the plugins, so the advice fits the site you have rather than a generic one.
How it works
Four steps. Stop at any of them.
Go ahead with a website fix or a new website within 60 days and the £99 comes off the price.

Complete Report
Around 60 pages about your business, not a template: three scores (SEO, AI visibility, Google Business Profile), an executive summary, five things to do this month, six specialist workstreams and a roadmap. A Progress Report is included within 90 days, once the fixes are in.
- £49 · £29
Add-ons, if you want them
- Action Plan, £49. Every finding turned into a task, with the steps, who does it, and how to check it is done.
- Growth reports, £11.99 each or all three for £29.
- Business Strategist. One goal, such as doubling qualified enquiries within 6 to 12 months, turned into a focused plan: three to five priorities, experiments with clear decision rules, and checkpoints. A plan to test, not a promise.
- By the book. A well-known business book applied to your business, turned into offers, pricing and experiments you could try.
- Monetisation ideas. New ways the business could earn from what it already does.

Then, if you want it done for you
- Fix what you have. I carry out the Action Plan on your existing site, WordPress or plain HTML, and on your Google Business Profile. The price comes from the plan itself, so you get a quote straight after the report.
- A new website, built to be found. For when the old site is not worth fixing. WordPress if you want to edit it yourself, a fast static site if you do not. Priced by scope.
What the Complete Report looked like for one business
Cambridge Photographers, one of my own businesses, checked in September 2026: SEO 85 out of 100, AI visibility 100, Google Business Profile 100. For each score, the report showed what held it back. For SEO, two old redirects and a page nothing linked to.

What an audit measures, and what it does not
It measures what the assistants said, on the date of the check, to the questions that were asked. It measures what search engines can crawl and read on your site today. It measures how complete your Google Business Profile is.
It does not give you a universal "AI ranking". There is no such thing. Answers change with the platform, the model version, the wording of the question, the person's location, the language and the week. Every result in the report is dated and shows the question that produced it, so you can see exactly what was tested.
And nobody can guarantee that an AI assistant will recommend you, or that you will rank, get more traffic or more enquiries. What I can do is remove the reasons you are being left out, and show you, in writing, what changed.
Good fit, and not a good fit
Good fit
A real business with a website and customers in a defined area, who wants to know what is holding it back and would rather have it fixed properly than argue with plugins at midnight.
Not a good fit
A brand-new business with no website yet (start with a new website instead), or anyone looking for guaranteed rankings or a monthly retainer to "do SEO" without a plan.
Questions
How long does the Complete Report take?
Within a week of payment, and usually sooner.
Do you need my passwords for the report?
No. The audit reads what is public: your website, your Google Business Profile and what AI assistants say. Access is only needed if you want me to make the fixes, and then I will ask for the least access the job needs.
What is the Progress Report?
Once the fixes are in, and within 90 days of the Complete Report, I run the same checks again so you can see what moved.
Do I need a new website?
Usually not. Most sites can be fixed. A new one makes sense when the old one is slow, hard to change, or built on something that fights you. The report will say which.
WordPress or a static site?
If you want to edit pages yourself, WordPress. If you would rather send me changes and never think about updates, plugins or security patches, a static site is faster and simpler to look after. The package names stay the same either way.
Is this the same as SEO?
It includes SEO, because AI assistants lean on the same signals: a clear, crawlable website, consistent facts, a complete Google profile, and other sites mentioning you by name. It adds the part most SEO audits leave out: what the assistants actually say.
Do you work outside Cambridge?
Yes, anywhere in the UK, in English or French.
