Who I am

Visual Network is a trading name of ZZZ Media Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 09208706, registered office 3 Brookfield Way, Cambridge CB23 5EB. ZZZ Media Ltd is the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact me about privacy at hello@visualnetwork.co.uk.

What I collect and why

When you use the contact form, I receive what you type: your name, email address, and, if you choose to add them, your business name, website, timescale, budget range and message. I use this only to reply to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to run that work. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

When you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it in the same way.

Please do not send passwords, API keys, or other people's personal or confidential information through the form or by email.

Who else handles it

• Web3Forms receives what you submit through the contact form and forwards it to my email inbox.
• My email provider stores the messages I receive and send.
• My website host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

These providers act on my behalf. Some of them may process information outside the UK; where they do, they are required to protect it to the standard UK law expects.

I do not sell your information, add you to a mailing list, or share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long I keep it

If an enquiry does not lead to work, I keep it for up to two years in case you get back in touch, then delete it. If we work together, I keep project and billing records for as long as the law and my accounts require, usually six years.

Cookies and similar technology

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

• If you choose a Light or Dark theme, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device. Choose Auto to remove it.
• The video on the site comes from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. Once you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
• The free visibility check runs on a separate site, report.visibilitypilot.co.uk, which has its own privacy information.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how I use it, or to have a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@visualnetwork.co.uk and I will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please tell me first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
