I created a UK-wide lead generation network, using 100 geolocalised domain names, aimed at generating leads for local UK photographers (a profession badly hit by the Covid pandemic).
Ten years ago, a friend gave me the idea to create a website for a domain name I had purchased with a view to opening a photography shop in Cambridge: the domain name was aptly keyworded “city” + “photographers dot co dot uk”. With the shop not materialising, I still created the website, which after 2 weeks online went straight to the top of Google for that keyword and many more, and has been there since. Seeing that amazing ranking success, I started acquiring domain names built in the same way for cities around the UK, amazingly most big cities were available, and if the preferred “city” + “photographers dot co dot uk” domain was already taken, I would acquire the close “city-photographers dot co dot uk”, as I did for London.
Over the years, I acquired more similar domain names without building matching websites, as I thought I would never have the time to fulfill the jobs they would generate. Hence missing the trick to generate leads for others for a fee. I have now however built that UK-wide network from the end of 2021. And it has organically generated close to 400 leads in a little over a year. More info at UK Photographers.
I used WordPress which is highly recommended for landing pages that aim to generate leads. As well as the Kadence theme, for which I own a lifetime membership, it’s one of the fastest themes in WordPress, and it made sense to use it to please Google.
To begin, let’s discuss the meaning of the term “lead generation.” A potential customer who volunteers information about themselves, such as their name and email address, is considered a lead. In order to turn these interested parties into paying consumers, you must first generate leads.
Therefore, it’s important to know why WordPress is such a good choice for websites aimed at generating leads.
Simple to Set Up and Modify
WordPress is well-liked due to its adaptability and user-friendliness. Websites that are both aesthetically pleasing and functionally robust can be made quickly and easily with the help of the thousands of available plugins and themes. As a result, you may construct targeted lead-generation tools like landing pages, opt-in forms, and calls to action.
Components for Automatic Blogging
Blogging is an effective method of attracting potential customers. You may increase your website traffic and your audience’s trust in you by consistently publishing high-quality content. Publish and promote your blog posts with ease using WordPress’s in-built blogging features.
Search Engine Optimization-Friendly
Optimisation for search engines (SEO) is essential for attracting new customers. More organic visitors and potential customers can be attracted to your website through search engine optimisation. Because WordPress is built with search engine optimisation in mind, it’s simple to tweak your site’s settings to boost your site’s visibility in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).
Integration with Prospecting Software
Lead generating technologies like email marketing software, customer relationship management systems, and lead capture forms are just some of the many that WordPress is built to work with. As a result, you can integrate your website with these solutions with no effort and speed up your lead generation process.
WordPress’s user-friendliness, flexibility, adaptability, in-built blogging features, search engine optimisation friendliness, and compatibility with lead generation tools make it the best platform for such websites. You can generate more leads and close them into paying clients by making use of these capabilities on your lead generation website.
